Bike   

The 2012 weapon of choice for Sportscover Altura RT is Aszure Team Issue equipped with Shimano groupsets, prologo saddles and FSA finishing kit. The Team Issue is a high modular carbon fibre frame with integrated BB and cable routing designed with aggressive geometry for a responsive ride.

Wheels                        

Mavic race wheels are tried and tested by pro riders around the world and are used year round by team riders in training and competition.

Deep section wheels are used in road races, Aksium and Equipe wheels in training and the Comete will be used in Time Trials rigs.

Clothing   

Yorkshire based Altura have designed and manufactured team race kit for the second continuous year. Full bespoke race clothing is used by the riders in competition, though the team use off the peg winter clothing from teh Altura ErgoFit range which is available through bbmbikes.com or in store at BBM Bikes, Knottingley.

Helmets   

Mavic Helmets are brand new for 2012 and the team will be using the top of the range Mavic Plasma helmet. After three years of research and development as well as an extensive ergonomical study based on 25,000 head shapes, the helmet range is born in the Mavic Annecy Design Center facilities.

Rollers   

Our team riders use Minoura Action Rollers year round as a training aid and for warm-up  cool-down on race day. Our Minoura rollers fold away for easy storage and fit into vehicles easily to be transported to races. This is an important part of the physical and mental preparation for our team riders.

Shoes  

Every team rider has a custom moulded shoe to ensure optimum fit for increased comfort and power transfer. The Shimano R315 uses thermo-mouldable material that is heated before being vacuum fitted to the contours of the riders feet.
