Three team riders in top ten at Out of the Saddle Road Race.
With a tough race in prospect at the Out of the Saddle Road Races' demanding Braithwell circuit, conditions were made even tougher by strong winds blowing thoughout the race. None of this daunted our six man squad though as they immediately started working well together to cover the early moves and control the race in preparation for their own attack.
On form Dawson wins again!
After setting a new personal best at the age of 41 just two weeks ago, Sportscoverss time-trial ace Kevin Dawson put his current form to good use when he won the South Elmsall SCC 10-mile event on Saturday.
Dawson clocked 19:25 to win the event at Ranby, Nottinghamshire, by 17 seconds from iRide Racing Team rival Richard Bradley from the East Midlands.
Leeds Triathlon
John Tanner, Ashley Brown and Kevin Dawson are donning wetsuits for some end of season triathlons. After a full season of racing the road calendar becomes a little sparse and the rio have decided (been cajoled) into some running and swimming. As always there is a level of competition between the three riders as they have just begun their training across the new disciplines.
Epworth Elite Road Race - Sunday 14th August 2011
The horrible weather which had been forecast for today was a no show at todays elite road race and a bright morning saw a strong field take to the Epworth circuit for what would turn out to be five laps of fast racing.
Spadgers Ride - Lewis Barry Memorial Sportive!
Following a massively successful first ride last year in which nearly 200 riders crossed the Pennines from the National Cycling Centre in Manchester to Lewis' home town of Garforth, a 48 mile circular route based on Lewis' favourite training circuit has been chosen for this year's ride.
